Welcome to the Good Music Show with Danny and Julius! Each episode they will give each other an album or playlist based around a theme, then talk about the music and artists that make it. They'll cover a wide spread of artists that they care deeply about: from 2Pac to Willie Nelson, John Prine to Donna Summer, Ray Charles to Future. Keeping an open mind to new styles allows Danny and Julius, as well as listeners, the opportunity to step out of individualized music bubbles and find new music to love.

Today we will take a look at two contemporaries in the rap world: Future and Young Thug. These two guys from Atlanta are prolific rappers in their own right, but they are also friends and collaborators. On this episode we will look at their contributions to hip-hop and what makes each of them special through the lens of six songs by each artist. Danny brought 6 Thugger songs, and Julius brought 6 Future Songs.
We'll talk about how they quickly developed their own styles separating them from their early influences, how they use emotion to drive their most powerful songs, and generally nerd out over some of our favorite lines from each.
