The Good Music Show

S1 E2 2Pac's "All Eyez on Me" x Willie Nelson's "Red Headed Stranger" - Sentimental Favorite Albums

Danny and Julius Season 1 Episode 2

Our first episode covering albums!

First up, Julius gives Danny 2Pac's "All Eyez on Me." We'll talk about 2Pac's rough and rowdy ways that produced some of the biggest music of the 90's, both in terms of popularity and in sound. Being the first double album of rap, it is full of insane beats and collaborations with both legendary and underrated rappers. Julius also gets into how these sounds were always around during their childhood and helped instill confidence in the face of bullies.

Then, Danny gives Julius Willie Nelson's "Red Headed Stranger." This album helped solidify Willie Nelson as one of country's biggest stars by finally carving his own path and creating his own sound. Danny discusses how this was the album that first  sparked his Willie obsession. We'll also cover what Nashville was like at the time of its release and the crucial role of Willie's "little" sister Bobbie.

Put together, these albums evoke discussions on the depiction of violence in music, the power of having a musical family to collaborate with, and much much more.
